Indianapolis, Indiana
Moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. Went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with the family. My love for cars was born.

Moved to Monterey, California. Learned to shave. I remember monarch butterflies outside on our deck.

Naples, Italy
Moved to Naples, Italy. Sister Kendra Michelle Reger born. Played on Big Wheels and watched as father collected cars in the driveway... five at one time... Maserati, Porsche, VW Bug, Alfa Romeo and Mercedes. My love for automobiles was growing.

1982
Buffalo, New York
Moved to Buffalo, New York for six months. Kicked some serious first grade ass as I entered school mid-semester and was forced to read spelling list in front of class. Only missed one word. Yeah baby!

Glen Ellen, Illinois
Moved to Glen Ellen, Illinois, a suburb just outside of Chicago. Father was at University of Chicago getting MBA in economics. Hung out with my sister. Played soccer. Saw my first Playboy and did my first interview... a school assignment, I interviewed a local convenience store owner.

1985
Fort Leavenworth, Kansas
Moved to Fort Leavenworth Kansas. Had a favorite tree in front of our house. We lived on the top of a hill so I could climb to the top of the tree, where it was only a couple of inches thick, and see for miles. Visited Lake Erie to see the family.

1986
West Point, New York
Moved to West Point New York. Won science fair with a wind tunnel experiment. Father was professor at the U.S. Miliary Academy. I learned while there that I did not intend to enter the military profession. Heckled cadets on the weekend by pulling fire alarms in dorms at 2:00AM. Got into biking and acting goofy. First kiss was with Molly Fagan behind the garage.

1988
Izmir, Turkey
Moved to Izmir Turkey. Took up skateboarding in a foreign land. Convinced the government to fund a massive skateboard ramp. Exported jeans and toothpaste to the black market... allegedly that is. On the weekends the family would go out to the Agean sea and hike, explore ruins or buy rugs.

1990
Waynesboro, Pennsylvania
Moved to Wanesboro Pennsylvania. Finished high school while attending honors classes with great grades by adhering to a strict no-study policy. Grew hair long and followed the Grateful Dead and Phish. Skied every day during the winter after school. Varsity soccer, gym class super hero and student government.

Atlanta, Georgia
Moved to Atlanta, Georgia to get physics degree from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. Instructed rock climbing, backpacking and other outdoor sports. Graduated in the allotted four years with minors in Computer Based Instrumentation and Philosophy.

Started frogfire Digital. A digital consulting firm averaging 15 strong, we service Motorola, Equifax, Sony, Hewlett Packard and TBS Superstation. I enjoyed mixing technology, creative design and business.

In a hard decision, I left frogfire to help found BrightLane.com. Raised three rounds of 4M, 19.5M and 15M. Company has valuation of 120M. I received a true 360 degree view of a company from startup to exit strategy. We recently announced a merger of equals with a public company that has $750 million in yearly revenue.

Took up skydiving to relax on the weekends. Finished the year with about 90 jumps, one cutaway and my first rig.

Launched joereger.com to rave reviews by the four people who visited it (thanks Mom, Dad, Step-dad and sis). Continued to skydive. Worked on the merger of BrightLane.com with TeamStaff.
